Sorry I have not translated the last few stories. The last weeks existed out of: Monday till Friday working and training and the weekends racing and travelling. I had no time and energy to write some news. I will give a short summary of the last 3 weeks and will try to better my life by posting some blogs more often
.
Last Saturday we had the official teampresentation in Van der Valk in Maastricht. Mr. Janssen, dire
ctor of Dolmans Landscaping opened the presentation, which was attended by sponsors, family, friends and press. The team car had been driven inside, so everybody could have a good look at our magnificent equipment.
Not much news to tell. What a long days last week. The walls came at me and I can tell you there is nothing interesting on TV during the day. The first days I could not do much at all and I was sitting on my bump eating pain killers. After that I did a bit of walking, just to get out of the house.
Finally Spring here in the Netherlands and I am stucked to the house. It sucked even more as we had a trainingcamp with the team in Limburg. All of us in two houses and a some quality training in the hills of Limburg.
Saturday the 6th of March I had my second race in Wanze, Belgium. We met on Saturday in the Van de Valk hotel in Maastricht. From here we went to Wanze in our team bus and car. Once in Wanze we were welcomed by an icy and cold wind, no sun at all. It was almost too cold to do a warming up.
Last Saturday my first cycle race "Omloop het Nieuwsblad". A beautiful course for your first race , various hills, cobble stones, climbing on the cobble stones, beautiful weather very early in the season with World Class women cyclists. A perfect way to loose your rookie status!
Bonjour de France. It has been too long ago since my last news item. I was shocked myself seeing the last date that I posted something. A lot has been going on, but a website needs to be updated on a regular basis I agree. I will shortly tell what happened in the last 2 months and will start to tell about my snow ... I mean bike training camp.
Santa Clause is coming to town. A busy month but also time to tell you about my career move.
After 1.5 years of investments to find out what is wrong, why I can not run it has been enough. It has been and still is very frustrating and takes a lot of time, energy and money. I do not mind investing in finding a solutions but like any investments you want to have some gain/profit as well at a certain stage.
I had prefered to keep you informed about my adventures on Curaçao from the island, however first the internet at our accommodations was out of service and secondly my notebook decided it was too hot to work.
We started the month of November with some hours in the air. After 9 hours of flying time we landed on the airport of Curaçao which was like stepping into a hot oven. Fortunately, the bikes and suitcases had come along.
A short update of the last 2 months. Again many cycle stories. I can hardly believe that it has been 2 months since my last story and I promise I will try harder to post more frequently a new story. A website should be up to date and so I agree 2 months of silence is too long.
